EPOXY CHARCUTERIE BOARDS
Care
- For best results, apply a thin layer of BACKWOOD BUTTER before AND after food use. To keep your wood piece from splitting or cracking, it's important to keep it coated lightly in BACKWOOD BUTTER and away from excessive heat and sunlight.
- Using paper towels or other abrasive cloths will cause minor surface scratches on the epoxy. Paper towel may be used on the wood portion of your board.
- Made for display and serving food, they are not meant to be used as cutting boards. You can cut on the wood portion of the board, but we do not recommend cutting on the epoxy art feature of your epoxy art charcuterie board- cutting on the epoxy will cause your knives to dull and can scratch the artwork.
- When storing or shipping with bubble wrap, always put a layer of tissue paper between the epoxy charcuterie board and the bubble wrap to protect the wood and epoxy.
- Please following our cleaning instructions below after each use. With proper care and cleaning, your handmade epoxy charcuterie boards will look as beautiful as the day you received them—forever!
CHARCUTERIE BOARDS
Clean
1. Wash surface lightly with soft (non-abrasive) cloth using warm water and a diluted, mild dish detergent.
2. Pat dry and then let it air dry completely- approx. 30 min.
3. Once board has dried fully, apply a thin coat of our BACKWOOD BUTTER with your hand or paper towel to the wood portion only of your board.
4. It may take some time for the BACKWOOD BUTTER to dry, depending on the temperature and humidity of your home, but the piece can be used for serving food immediately.
5. If not using right away, let the BACKWOOD BUTTER dry and then gently buff the wood surface with a paper towel to a light shine.
Never submerge any of your wood pieces in water. Do not put in the dishwasher.
